The seminar highlights:
Utilities such as sewers and stormwater drains have ever greater stresses placed on them as populations grow and materials age. In order to efficiently manage these assets, reliable, low cost and robust methods of monitoring are required. Sewer level overflow detection systems have now been introduced and are proving to be a critical tool in identifying, prioritising and managing sewerage systems. A simple but robust unit which alerts the user according to high levels of water in the asset is married to a high tech SCADA system to manage and disseminate the information to the various user groups.
This presentation will look at a pilot project of 50 such units that has been running for the last year inclusive of the software management system that was developed as part of the project.
The seminar is free of charge. Interested parties please fill in the standard reply form and send to Ms. Elley CHENG of HKIUS administration office via 2618 4500 or via online enrollment on www.uti.hk .
